BLACK TEARS - 14:55 Limerick

The Gordon Elliott-trained BLACK TEARS won well at Fairyhouse and wasn't beaten far in a Grade 2 at the Cheltenham Festival and she'll take plenty of stopping if reproducing that latest form in this less exalted company. Cut The Mustard, who wasn't disgraced in the fiercely competitive County Hurdle at the same meeting, is a much-respected main danger. Emily Moon and Champayne Lady can do battle for minor honours.

MUTADAFFEQ - 15:30 Limerick

A fairly useful performer on the Flat, Timeform 'Horse In Focus' MUTADAFFEQ left his maiden hurdle form well behind when fourth on handicap debut at Naas. The six-year-old did well to finish as close as he did on that occasion (given lots to do) and, with further improvement likely, he gets the nod. Chosen Hour arrives here in fine form and is feared, but more is needed from this mark and C&D winner Princess Mahler may be a bigger threat.

BURROWS SAINT - 16:05 Limerick

The relatively unexposed French import BURROWS SAINT built on the promise of his reappearance/chase debut (fourth behind subsequent Arkle winner Duc des Genievres) when striking back at Gowran, despite a couple of serious mistakes. This stiffer will be in his favour and he earns preference ahead of Roaring Bull, who wasn't disgraced at the Cheltenham Festival, and Moonshine Bay. The front-running Nick Lost is not discounted either.
