Timeform pick out their three best bets from Naas on Sunday...
"...isn't getting any younger, but he's not getting any slower either..."
Timeform on Gordon Lord Byron
Trethias - 14:20 Naas
Trethias deserves plenty of credit for getting as close as she did when fourth in a Leopardstown listed event last time, given that she still had plenty to do two furlongs out having been left poorly placed. The Invincible Spirit filly remains open to improvement and is taken to reverse placings with the runner-up there, Foxtrot Liv, and emerge on top. Hermosa was a fine third in the Moyglare a fortnight ago, and should have more to offer herself, so rates the main danger.
Falcon Eight - 14:55 Naas
Falcon Eight has created a very good impression in winning a maiden at the Curragh and a minor event atKillarney, shaping on both occasions as though he would relish a stiffer test. Indeed, he is a high-class stayer in the making, and is taken to prove as much by making it 3-3 here. Twilight Payment sets the standard on form and is the clear main danger, though Victory Salute, another three-year-old, could improve further for this step up in trip.
Gordon Lord Byron - 16:00 Naas
Gordon Lord Byron isn't getting any younger, but he's not getting any slower either judged on his solid efforts in stronger Group 3s at the Curragh and York last month. He was below par last time, but the ten-year-old will take plenty of stopping if able to bounce back. With Unfortunately yet to reproduce anything akin to his smart two-year-old form this season, Fas and St Patrick's Day can fill the places.
