2.00 British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (4) 5f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
97p 8. SOSIAN Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
91p 1. KALAGIA Mark Johnston P. J. McDonald
90 2. BIG LES Karen McLintock Jamie Spencer

Analyst's Verdict:
Sosian and Kalagia should come to the fore here, the pair closely matched on form but the latter taking preference on account of the fact her main rival has the burden of a penalty. Richard Fahey's charge is ultimately likely to be best over further, but Pontefract's uphill finish should be enough to help her grind her way to the front. Newcomer Sabellum also warrants a mention.

2.30 Play Sporting Life Pick 7 For Free Now Handicap (5) 1½m5y

Timeform Top Rated:
84+ 9. REGAL MIRAGE Tim Easterby David Allan
83+ 6. LIQUID GOLD Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
82 2. AVENUE DES CHAMPS Jane Chapple-Hyam Paddy Bradley (5)

Analyst's Verdict:
Regal Mirage is progressing well in handicaps of late, completing a quick-fire hat-trick at Hamilton (11f) 9 days ago. He can land the 4-timer now tackling this even longer trip, with Liquid Gold and New Society a couple of other 3-y-os to consider.

3.00 Ron Vause Memorial Handicap (4) 1¼m5y

Timeform Top Rated:
92+ 6. NEAR KETTERING Luca Cumani Jamie Spencer
91 7. LUCY'S LAW Tom Tate James Sullivan
89 11. REINSTORM Richard Fahey Patrick Mathers

Analyst's Verdict:
Redcar maiden winner Near Kettering was far from discredited in a hot 3-y-o handicap at Newmarket last time and this represents a drop in grade up against his elders for the first time, so it would be no surprise if he were to improve past this field. Miningrocks has been in tremendous form all summer and should make the selection work hard along with the consistent Beverley Bullet.

3.30 Sky Bet Go-Racing-In-Yorkshire Summer Festival Pomfret Stakes (Listed) (1) 1m6y

Timeform Top Rated:
127 5. TASHWEEQ John Gosden Andrea Atzeni
125 4. GABRIAL Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
124 3. BATTLE OF MARATHON John Ryan Paul Mulrennan

Analyst's Verdict:
The tough and reliable Gabrial often keeps better company and this looks a good opportunity for him to end his losing run. The lightly-raced Tashweeq shaped as if amiss in the Bunbury Cup only 2 weeks ago but he was a close third in the Royal Hunt Cup prior to that and is a massive player on that form.

4.00 tiesplanet.com - Ties For Every Occasion Handicap (3) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
102 1. GIN IN THE INN Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
101 14. DUKE COSIMO Michael Herrington Tom Eaves
100 15. ROYAL CONNOISSEUR Richard Fahey Sammy Jo Bell (3)

Analyst's Verdict:
Gin In The Inn has come unstuck a little recently but his emphatic start to the season shouldn't be forgotten and a low draw round this track can provide the ideal circumstances for him to get back to winning ways. Another positive showing is expected from Avon Breeze while Giant Spark is too well handicapped to ignore with blinkers applied for the first time.

4.30 Pontefract And District Golf Club Ltd Maiden Stakes (5) 1m6y

Timeform Top Rated:
102p 6. SHARJA BRIDGE Roger Varian Andrea Atzeni
76p 9. ZIHAAM Roger Fell Tony Hamilton
74p 4. KINGS WILL DREAM Micky Hammond Paul Mulrennan

Analyst's Verdict:
Hard to look beyond the well-bred and expensive Sharja Bridge, who shaped well behind a useful pair on debut. Kings Will Dream might be the one for the forecast, though a market move for Pantera should be noted, also.

5.00 Fly High Faye Nickels Handicap (5) 5f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
83 2. ORIENTAL SPLENDOUR Ruth Carr James Sullivan
82 10. METISIAN Jedd O'Keeffe David Nolan
82 8. CLASSIC PURSUIT Michael Appleby Royston Ffrench

Analyst's Verdict:
Metisian is a low-mileage 3-y-o going the right way, value for finishing alongside the first 2 having met late interference at Hamilton 10 days ago. In receipt of his handy weight-for-age allowance all looks set fair for another big run. C&D winner Oriental Splendour and Jack Luey are others worth considering.
