Nick Shiambouros is back with two selections from Carlisle and Leicester...
"I think she has ability and looks sure to win races"
Take the Promise
12:25 Carlisle - Paper Promise
Paper Promise is taken to upset the short-priced favourite in this novices' hurdle.
This mare won a couple of bumpers last season and was not disgraced behind Getaway Katie in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in the spring. I think she has ability and looks sure to win races. She should be ready to do herself justice on hurdles debut, and is fairly priced at [7.0] on the exchange.
Garrettstown heads the market at [2.1] on the exchange. He finished sixth to Ecu De La Noverie at Newbury on hurdles debut. He is a deserving favourite but I think the selection may surprise him.
It really is O Kay
13:15 Leicester - It's O Kay
It's O Kay should prove difficult to beat in this maiden hurdle.
This mare finished down the field to Lust For Glory at Newbury last month. She made a little progress in the closing stages, but never had a realistic chance of getting involved. This bumper winner faced a tough assignment in what looked a pretty decent race. I think she will find this company more to her liking, and should get off the mark over hurdles. At present she is trading at [3.1] on the exchange.
Ceara Be is the obvious danger. She put in some good work in the closing stages when finishing third to Kimberley Point at Southwell last month. She should move forward and is currently priced at [2.84] on the exchange.
