Timeform on Frodon

12.40 Countryside Raceday Maiden Hurdle (4) 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
158 1. AYE AYE CHARLIE Fergal O'Brien Paddy Brennan
135p 6. PRESENT RANGER Dan Skelton Harry Skelton
125p 4. FORTUNES HIDING Peter Bowen Sean Bowen

Analyst's Verdict:
Aye Aye Charlie contested some of the top novice races after his good third in this on return 12 months ago and he'll take all the beating if returning anywhere near his best. Stoney Mountain won 2 bumpers last season and looks a fine prospect for jumping. Present Ranger is another sure to win races in this sphere.

1.15 Kay Pinfold 100th Birthday Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (3) 3m149y

Timeform Top Rated:
139p 6. READY AND ABLE Jonjo O'Neill Jonjo O'Neill Jr. (6)
138§ 1. BUCKLE STREET Martin Keighley Harry Stock (3)
137 2. SIR MANGAN Dan Skelton Bridget Andrews (3)

Analyst's Verdict:
Settimo Milanese arrives on the back of comprehensive victories in a brace of small-field hurdles and likely has more to offer for his shrewd handler now switched back to handicapping. He can complete the hat-trick. There are plenty of dangers however, with Ready And Able, Follow The Bear and Skipthescales particularly respected.

1.50 Rewards4Racing Veterans' Handicap Chase (Leg 7) (2) 3m210y

Timeform Top Rated:
160 4. BEAT THAT Nicky Henderson Nico de Boinville
158 8. BRANDON HILL Tom George Ciaran Gethings
157? 6. BISHOPS ROAD Kerry Lee Richard Patrick (3)

Analyst's Verdict:
A competitive veterans' handicap that can go to Beat That back at the scene of his 2014 Grade 1 hurdles triumph. Nicky Henderson's charge caught the eye in a similar event at Chepstow a fortnight ago, making a bad mistake 5 out and finishing with running left in a falsely-run affair. He makes most appeal ahead of the in-form Exitas and Pendra.

2.25 Racing UK Handicap Hurdle (2) 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
148 5. BYRON FLYER Ian Williams William Kennedy
147+ 12. FORECAST Martin Keighley Conor Shoemark
146+ 8. EAMON AN CNOIC David Pipe Tom Scudamore

Analyst's Verdict:
A race which to some extent revolves around whether Byron Flyer can translate the improved form he's shown on the Flat since last seen over hurdles in spring 2017. If he doesn't the most likely to profit is perhaps Haul Away, who arrives in search of a 5-timer. Lygon Rock, who has had a wind op since his Ludlow novice win in May, is also of some interest on handicap debut for a yard going well.

3.00 Monet's Garden Old Roan Limited Handicap Chase (Grade 2) (1) 2m3f200y

Timeform Top Rated:
173 1. FRODON Paul Nicholls Bryony Frost (3)
172 7. RAMSES DE TEILLEE David Pipe Tom Scudamore
171? 5. FLYING ANGEL Nigel Twiston-Davies Sam Twiston-Davies

Analyst's Verdict:
Frodon won a Grade 3 handicap off top weight by 17 lengths at Cheltenham in January and is a big player on that form off only 4 lb higher. Cloudy Dream failed to win last season but showed very smart form, including when runner-up in this on return, and is likely to give a good account on debut for this yard. Javert has won all 4 of his completed starts over fences and also needs considering.

3.35 Molson Coors Chase (Novices' Limited Handicap) (3) 3m210y

Timeform Top Rated:
147p 1. DROVERS LANE Rebecca Curtis A. P. Heskin
146 2. REIGNING SUPREME Nicky Henderson Nico de Boinville
145 5. WANDRIN STAR Kim Bailey Mikey Hamill (3)

Analyst's Verdict:
Drovers Lane made an impressive start over fences at Hereford 12 days ago, and with the prospect of more to come, he's taken to defy an 8 lb rise. Reigning Supreme is still lightly raced so shouldn't be written off for his top yard back from 7 months off. Arthur's Gift and Molly The Dolly appeal as types to make up into better chasers and are also considered.

4.10 EBF British Stallion Studs Mares' Standard Open National Hunt Flat (Qualifier) (4) 2m209y

Timeform Top Rated:
118 11. TASHUNKA Fergal O'Brien Paddy Brennan
117 12. TEME SPIRIT Henry Daly Richard Johnson
111p 4. BRIERY EXPRESS Noel Williams Wayne Hutchinson

Analyst's Verdict:
Legends Gold readily went clear from 2 out to land her point in a good time and, with a yard that does well in this sphere, she could be the answer to what's likely to prove a well-above-average bumper. Fellow newcomer Aggy With It also makes appeal and Tashunka is clearly the pick of those with experience under Rules.
