What Will Be - 14:30 Uttoxeter
What Will Be built on a promising hurdling debut at Market Rasen in June - when second to Whiskey And Water - by going one better at Stratford two weeks ago, upholding his superiority over a few who reopposed from his previous outing after kicking around the home turn. Admittedly, he didn't have too much in hand at the line when scoring last time, but the form of that success will make him very difficult to beat here, and he's fancied to turn the tables on his Market Rasen conqueror Whiskey And Water and follow up.
Update: since publishing, today's racing at Uttoxeter has been abandoned

Al Mureib - 17:05 Pontefract
Al Mureib has had plenty of chances to get his head in front now, ten to be precise, and although he has generally been running creditably he has proven expensive to follow so far, to the point that only once has he been sent off at a bigger price than 4/1. He will undauntedly get his infront sooner or later if he continues to hold his form as he has been doing, but he is certainly vulnerable to a more unexposed type, and at the prices it may be worth taking him on with Gazton - who showed enough when second here earlier this month to suggest that a race of this nature was within his grasp.

Regal Mirage - 15:20 Pontefract
2 - Tim Easterby's number of winners in past 6 runnings
An open race, in which it could be worth taking a chance on Regal Mirage. It's coming up to a year since he last got his head in front, though his mark is starting to slide and he is giving the distinct impression that he is ready to come good soon, doing well under the circumstances when finishing fourth off a strong pace at Haydock last time out. Regal Mirage arrives here 2 lb lower than his last winning mark, and in a race which his trainer has won two of the last six renewals, he could be worth siding with to return to winning ways.
