Nick Shiambouros is back with a couple of NH selections from Kelso and Fontwell...
"I think she is open to further improvement and should go close"
Back Chouquette in the 14:05 at Kelso
A Cream Puff for Lucinda
14:05 Kelso - Chouquette
Chouquette is my idea of the winner of this interesting contest.
This filly caught the eye on hurdles debut when finishing third to Floral Bouquet at Perth last month. She had a chance on the run to the third last, but failed to sustain her effort and had to settle for a place. I think she is open to further improvement and should go close. She is well worth an investment at her current price of 6.05/1 on the exchange.
Stablemate Blue Baton could be the danger. This mare finished a closing second to Birch Vale at Hexham earlier this month. She found her second wind on the run to the last, and finished strongly to grab the runner-up position near the line. She is currently trading at around 3.259/4 on the exchange.
No Dice Roll here
15:25 Fontwell - Roll Of The Dice
Roll Of The Dice should run well for in-form trainer Gary Moore.
This gelding finished fourth to Quiz Master over this course in February. He made a terrible mistake at the second last which put paid to any chance he had. He was not beaten all that far, and the return to the shorter trip may help him. This was his best effort to date, and hopefully can move forward once again. At present he is trading at 6.86/1 on the exchange.
Ringa Ding Ding was turned over at a short price when finishing second to stablemate Stradivarius at Wincanton earlier this month. He attempted to make all, but was easily brushed aside on the run to the last. The shorter trip should suit, but has questions to answer now. At present he is trading at 1.9520/21 on the exchange.
