Nick Shiambouros returns with a couple of NH selections from the Sunday meeting at Sedgefield...
"Trainer Jed O’Keefe does well with his hurdlers, and has a respectable strike rate of 21% over a five year period"
Lincoln a sharp customer
The Lincoln Lawyer is taken to upset the short priced favourite in this Juvenile Hurdle.
This gelding finished second to Percy Prosecco on hurdles debut at Huntingdon earlier this month. Despite refusing to settle, he managed to run in to a place in the closing stages without troubling the winner. I thought that was a pretty decent performance, and hopefully trainer Charlie Mann has made the necessary adjustments to help him relax. At present he is trading at [3.05] on the exchange.
The filly Chico Buena makes her debut for new trainer Keith Dalgliesh after winning a Balinrobe maiden hurdle last month. This is tougher and looks short enough at [2.22].
I am going to take a chance with Remember The Days in this maiden hurdle.
This three time winner on the flat is currently rated 77. He has been a pretty consistent performer on the level, and should be ready to do himself justice on hurdles debut. Trainer Jed O'Keefe does well with his hurdlers, and has a respectable strike rate of 21% over a five year period. At present he is trading at [4.9] on the exchange which is more than fair.
Ask Paddington merits consideration. He finished a fair third to Noah And The Ark at Kelso earlier this month after refusing to settle. He is better than the bare form suggests and is reasonably priced at [5.4] on the exchange.
