There is a decent summer jumps card at Stratford on Saturday night

There is a competitive summer jumps card at Stratford on Saturday evening and that is where we head for today's Placepot attempt...

"If he can run to the form of his Warwick second two starts ago he has strong place claims in a race where plenty have something to prove."

17:55 - Patricktom Boru won well over fences on debut for Evan Williams and he is a confident selection in the first at Stratford to make the places off the same mark.

18:25 - Ifyousayso perhaps didn't enjoy his first trip to Towcester last time out, but he is worth forgiving a bad run at such a specialist track and if he can run to the form of his Warwick second two starts ago he has strong place claims in a race where plenty have something to prove. Qulinton loves it here at Stratford, winning twice over this distance in the past year over both fences and hurdles, he is also worth including for place purposes.

18:55 - John Ferguson is flying in the early stages of the jumps season and he has yet another smart Flat recruit from Godolphin on his hands here in Ennistown, who should be hard to beat on debut.

19:25 - My Brother Sylvest has found one competitor too good in his previous three starts this season, it remains to be seen whether that will happen again as he is obviously vulnerable for win purposes off this mark, but he can be expected to make the places once again.

19:55 - A very interesting contest in tonight's feature could see Vulcanite go close, he has dropped 5lb below his last winning mark and as a C&D winner here in March last season this could well have been his long-term target for the in-form Charlie Longsdon yard. There are multiple other interesting contenders, none more so than Dubai Prince, who is expected to suit this sort of test and may have more improvement to come based on his fairly progressive profile.

20:25 - Mr Satco remains more unexposed than most of these over fences and has joined an in-form yard for his first foray into handicap company and he could well be the answer to the last leg of the Placepot. Makadamia is worth forgiving a lackluster display at Taunton last time out and could bounce back after a break.
