14:00 - AZZURI (1) looked a natural when making a successful debut over fences over C&D five weeks ago and can defy a penalty at the main expense of Cliffside Park, who looked as good as ever when making a winning start for this yard over hurdles last time.
14:35 - SKILLED (4) was well backed and went one better than on his chasing debut when winning at Stratford four weeks ago. He has an 8 lb hike in the weights to contend with in this second leg of the Placepot, but remains open to more improvement after just two starts over fences and is fancied to follow up under Richard Johnson. David John was unlucky not to finish closer than he did after a bad mistake at Perth last time and can give the selection most to do.
15:10 - ART OF PAYROLL (7), one of a trio of representatives for Harry Fry, appeals as being the pick of the weights on his Irish form and could easily improve for the change of scenery. He makes most appeal with the Placepot in mind here. Fox Appeal is dangerous when cutting out the jumping errors and is feared most of the remainder, while Hammersly Lake remains with potential for one his age.
15:40 - BRAAVOS (2) went down all guns blazing when returning to action at Uttoxeter three weeks ago and confirmed that this sort of trip is within his range. He has been nudged up 4 lb for that, but makes plenty of appeal nonetheless. Kalifourchon will be a big danger if on a going day, while Destiny's Gold and handicap-debutant Old Harry Rocks, who ran as well as ever when second at Worcester last time, also have plenty to recommend them.
16:15 - PREMIER ROSE (8) produced her best effort yet when runner-up over shorter at Worcester last month and earns the vote to go one place better here, having joined a leading yard quite adept at improving such types. Vodka Island is also worth keeping an eye on with her reappearance/yard debut under her belt, while Balkinstown can also get involved.
16:50 - RUNASIMI RIVER (7) failed to build on her debut success in a bumper here last month, but she may have needed the run after six months off the track and is fancied to make a winning start in this sphere. A Touch of Sparkle can give the selection most to do, while Dizzey Heights, Enchanted Moment and Viognier all make some each-way appeal.
17:25 - FULL (1) is on a good mark and looks the one to beat if bouncing back for a stable that has been in excellent heart recently. Tempuran is an obvious danger on his first start for Dr Richard Newland, as is the lightly-raced, in this sphere at least, Cosmic Tigress.
