Timeform take you through the card at Sedgefield on Sunday...
"He has won two of his three starts off a break for this yard..."
13:10 - Reverant Cust is undoubtedly interesting having finished second at Haydock last Saturday when given plenty to do. He's up 7 lb in the weights but should still give a good account, provided the quick turnaround on the back of his last race - run on bottomless ground - doesn't leave a mark. That last point could prove crucial and with this in mind BLACK ART (4) could be the more solid option. He won well over C&D last time and a 2 lb rise in the weights looks lenient enough.
13:40 - A tight contest and it could be worth including both BURRENBRIDGE HOTEL (2), who was impressive when winning at Taunton last time and bids for a hat-trick here, and BEAU BAY (4), who did well under the circumstances when finishing second at Carlisle when he last saw him (only one to make an impact from off the pace).
14:10 - The heavy ground will hopefully make this enough of a test for BLOTTOS (1), who looks a real stayer and was unsuited by a tactical race at Catterick last time when upped to this trip. He should stay even further in time, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Danny Cook make the pace if none of the others go forward.
14:40 - ASCENDANT (1) has been prolific in plating company this season, his only defeat coming in a handicap on his penultimate start, and he is expected to go very close to making it five wins from five starts in this sphere.
15:10 - VIENS CHERCHER (1) has some strong novice form to his name from last season and has been given a chance by the handicapper following a couple of lesser efforts over the summer. He has won two of his three starts off a break for this yard and though he's seemingly avoided softer conditions over fences to date, one of his better efforts over hurdles came on heavy ground. He can take advantage of a drop in grade here.
15:40 - LA DRAPEAU (10) was disappointing last time (made a few jumping errors) but remains unexposed after just two hurdling starts and could be worth including in an open looking handicap. BANNYS LAD (2) has a good record here over fences (both wins in that sphere at this track) and is also wort including from a mark just 4 lb higher than the one he defied here in May.
16:10 - None of these are that interesting, but Donald McCain could hold the key between Princess Mononoke - who continues to fall in the weights - and his new recruit Toboggans Gift, who may well improve for the switch of scenery.
