Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when his selection Mustashry won. Nick returns with two more fancies from Sandown...
"He has a bit to find with a few of these, but I do not believe we have seen the best of him"
Camacho gelding to lay down the law
Judicial should make his presence felt in this competitive sprint.
This gelding bounced back to form when beating Line Of Reason at Beverley last month. He took the lead inside the final furlong, and pulled clear to win with authority. He finished an excellent second to Mabs Cross in the Palace House at HQ in April which reads well in the context of this race. I think he is sitting on a big effort, and is fairly priced at [5.2] on the exchange.
Muthmir heads the market at [5.1] on the exchange. He scrambled home in a Listed race at Haydock last month and is running in to form. He won a Group 2 in France last year, and this race is well within his compass.
Take upset minded Forest
I am going to take a chance with Forest Ranger in this historic race.
This gelding has done nothing wrong this season winning two races in great style. On his latest start in the Huxley at Chester he beat War Decree easily. He took the lead two furlongs from home, and pulled clear to win with complete authority. With Derby winner Masar a late withdrawal, I think the race has a wide open look about it. He has a bit to find with a few of these, but I do not believe we have seen the best of him. At present he is trading at [12.0] on the exchange which is more than fair.
Dante winner Roaring Lion is the favourite at [2.66] on the exchange. He finished third to Masar in the Derby, and may find this shorter trip more to his liking. I can afford to let him win at this price.
