Timeform pick out their best three bets from the Galway Festival on Saturday...
"...could easily be ahead of her opening mark..."
Timeform on Shanning
Willie Mullins saddles nearly half the field here. Shanning is the pick of Ruby Walsh and it's easy to see why as she readily saw off a couple of useful sorts over C&D when last seen in October and could easily be ahead of her opening mark. Stablemates Low Sun, Uradel, Bargy Lady and Lareena also have plenty going for them, while British raider Minella Awards is respected under Davy Russell.
Useful Flat winner Triplicate shaped encouragingly on his hurdles debut when last seen in the autumn and he should have more to offer on his return. The form of that race has worked out fairly well, and the drop back in trip could suit here, although this is a race where the market could prove informative. Suinda and Advantage Point are both respected on the back of bumper wins, while Manamite showed plenty of promise on the first of two starts over hurdles last winter.
Good Scent made a most encouraging start to her career when finishing runner-up in a similar event Killarney last month, and in good hands, she is taken to make the requisite improvement to open her account. However, strong market support for the Willie Mullins newcomer Miss Chevious Girl would obviously put a slightly different slant on things. Red As Rust has switched to Gordon Elliott since making a winning point debut at the start of the summer and is also much respected.
