1.10 Nathaniel Lacy & Partners Solicitors Novice Hurdle (Golden Cygnet) (Grade 1) 2¾m

Analyst's Verdict:
Carter McKay just lacked the pace to mount a serious challenge at Punchestown last time, and could take another leap forward now upped in trip. Stablemate Fabulous Saga sets the standard, while Dortmund Park is another with potential for better.

Timeform Top Rated:
152 3. FABULOUS SAGA W. P. Mullins P. Townend
148p 6. DORTMUND PARK Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
144p 1. CARTER MCKAY W. P. Mullins D. J. Mullins

1.45 Coral Dublin Chase (Grade 2) 2m1f

Analyst's Verdict:
He's not one for the faint-hearted but Yorkhill is taken to return to winning ways back down in trip having shaped really well on his return in the 3m Christmas Chase here. Stablemate Min lost his unbeaten chase record in the stewards' room here last time having not been at his best but should bounce back, as should Special Tiara.

Timeform Top Rated:
179+ 4. YORKHILL W. P. Mullins P. Townend
177 1. MIN W. P. Mullins D. J. Mullins
176 3. SPECIAL TIARA Henry de Bromhead Robbie Power

2.20 Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase (Grade 1) 2m1f

Analyst's Verdict:
Footpad looked every inch a top-class chaser in the making when landing a Grade 1 here over Christmas and can extend his unbeaten record over hurdles to 3, although Petit Mouchoir does have the potential to give him something to think about given the high level he achieved over hurdles. The selection's stablemate Demi Sang may prove best of the remainder.

Timeform Top Rated:
171p 2. FOOTPAD W. P. Mullins P. Townend
162p 3. PETIT MOUCHOIR Henry de Bromhead Davy Russell
158p 5. DEMI SANG W. P. Mullins D. J. Mullins

2.55 Coral Sandyford Handicap Chase (Grade B) 2m1f

Analyst's Verdict:
Squouateur looks to have been laid out for this race and will arrive cherry-ripe after a solid third here on his second run of the season. The shorter trip is the biggest question mark against the selection and if they go too slowly early on, then Kilfenora looks the likeliest to take full advantage at these weights. Blast of Koeman and Kilcarry Bridge can fight it out for the minor places.

Timeform Top Rated:
166p 13. SQUOUATEUR Gordon Elliott M. P. Walsh
163p 16. BLAST OF KOEMAN Robert Tyner Philip Enright
163p 18. THAT'S A WRAP Thomas Mullins M. A. Enright

3.30 BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle (Grade 1) 2m

Analyst's Verdict:
The Champion Hurdle market will undoubtedly get a shakeup after this, and Melon could be the percentage call over his brilliant stablemate Faugheen given that rival's huge setback in the Ryanair Hurdle in December. Defi du Seuil swept all before him in the juvenile division last season and this will reveal more as to where we stand with him this term.

Timeform Top Rated:
176 1. FAUGHEEN W. P. Mullins P. Townend
170p 4. MELON W. P. Mullins D. J. Mullins
168 2. IDENTITY THIEF Henry de Bromhead Sean Flanagan

4.05 Coral Hurdle (Extended Handicap) (Liffey) (Grade B) 2m

Analyst's Verdict:
Off You Go was so impressive at Limerick last time that an added fifteen pounds may not be enough to stop him following up this afternoon. Mind's Eye looks a major player with Dylan Robinson's claim a bonus, leaving Bleu Berry and perhaps Master of Irony for the minor places.

Timeform Top Rated:
167 9. MIND'S EYE Henry de Bromhead D. Robinson (5)
166 7. CLIFF HOUSE John J. Walsh Rachael Blackmore
165 18. GRAND PARTNER Thomas Mullins B. J. Cooper

4.40 Goffs Future Stars (C & G) I.N.H. Flat (Grade 2) 2m

Analyst's Verdict:
Eight previous winners do battle in what should be an informative race, but Brace Yourself couldn't have been more impressive at Down Royal on Boxing Day and he receives the vote. Rapid Escape is feared most, with Blackbow perhaps the pick of the Mullins pair.

Timeform Top Rated:
124 6. BRACE YOURSELF Noel Meade Miss N. Carberry
122 2. RAPID ESCAPE Gordon Elliott Ms L. O'Neill
120p 8. RHINESTONE Joseph Patrick O'Brien Mr D. O'Connor
