Take the Chattanooga
14:15 Leicester - Chattanooga Boy
Chattanooga Boy should prove difficult to beat in this novice stakes.
This colt was nicely backed on debut when finishing third to Highland Chief at Newbury earlier this month. He held every chance a furlong from home, but failed to quicken on the rain softened ground. I think he has every right to move forward, and will appreciate the better ground. At present he is trading at 2.47/5 on the exchange which is about right.
Richard Fahey sends out debutant Bravo Faisal who cost a pretty penny as a yearling. He comes from a good family, and is the main danger. At present he is trading at 5.24/1 on the exchange.
Gaman to rule
14:45 Leicester - Hey Gaman
Hey Gaman should go close in this interesting Listed race.
This colt was highly tried last year. He ran in six Group races including three at the highest level. He finished an excellent second to Olmedo in the French 2000GNS which was no fluke. I think this seven furlong trip is his best distance and will appreciate the ease in grade. In addition the stable is in decent form ,which is an added bonus. At present he is trading at 4.131/10 on the exchange which is more than fair.
Sir Michael Stoute sends out Group 1 winner Eqtidaar who is the current favourite at 3.1511/5 on the exchange. He ran no sort of race behind The Tin Man on his final start at Haydock last September, and evidently did not handle the testing conditions. He has the form in the book to take this, but is unproven at this specialist seven furlong distance.
