He was running off a low weight in a higher class last time and can still drop down here despite a rise in the weights. He only went up 3 lb for that success when asserting near the line and despite a threat of the ground being slower than last time, he looked to have more to give and that can hold no fears for him to follow up.

Having had plenty of chances to break his maiden tag, VOLTAIC still has just that and with his temperament under suspicion due to the fact he hasn't yet got his head in front, he can be opposed again here. Quirky Gertie in receipt of 5 lbs is rated above Voltaic on our weight-adjusted figures and is getting closer to her maiden success and interesting newcomer Reigning Ice wouldn't have to be anything special to make a winning debut.

She saw the mile out well enough but the slight drop in trip wont inconvenience her here and is best forgiven her last run when held up for handicap debut on ground that was quicker than she had ever encountered. Back on a forecast softer surface here and from a good draw to adopt her previously successful tactics, she can add to her trainers' excellent strike rate at the course.
