Timeform pick out three bets from Cheltenham on Saturday, including one in the Cleeve Hurdle.
"The return to a smaller field will suit this strong-travelling, bold-jumping type..."
Mister Whitaker - 13:15 Cheltenham
Mister Whitaker has made a bright start over fences, winning a handicap at Carlisle with more in hand than the margin suggests, and pulling clear of the remainder when finishing runner-up to one who was seen to maximum effect at Kempton last time. There is still more to come from him in this sphere, and he will remain of interest from this sort of mark. Ballyandy shouldn't be judged too harshly on his latest run and remains with potential over fences, while Sizing Tennessee produced a career best when going close in the Dipper over C&D earlier this month.
American - 14:25 Cheltenham
American was well backed ahead of his return in the Ladbroke Trophy at Newbury in November, but his lack of experience was telling in the biggest field he'd encountered, and it is too soon to be giving up on him as he looked as though he was heading for the top in his three impressive wins last season. The return to a smaller field will suit this strong-travelling, bold-jumping type and, with ground conditions in his favour, he's expected to bounce back to form. Bristol de Mai is the big danger if the return to a soft surface sparks him back to his best, while The Last Samuri looks sure to give it his usual good shot.
The Worlds End - 15:35 Cheltenham
A tough race to have a strong opinion on, but The Worlds End would surely have gone close in the Albert Bartlett with a clear round last season and last month's fourth-placed finish in the Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle suggests he's still improving. Finian's Oscar could easily restore his reputation over hurdles and looks a big danger, while the form-pick Beer Goggles would be a very poignant winner.
