Timeform pick out their three best bets from the Curragh on Saturday...
"The longer trip should suit on breeding (dam won over 1m) and she can bounce back here."
Timeform on Sakura
SAKURA - 14:55 Curragh
The Ger Lyons-trained SAKURA wasn't seen to best effect on nursery bow at Tipperary last time, and she's well worth another chance given her earlier promise. The longer trip should suit on breeding (dam won over 1m) and she can bounce back here. Cork runner-up Eagle Song and the consistent maiden Coral Beach head up the opposition.
SOUTHERN FRANCE - 15:25 Curragh
No Order of St George this year but his three-year-old stablemate SOUTHERN FRANCE was really strong at the finish when runner-up in the Queens's Vase at Royal Ascot, and given that was just his fourth start, he is taken to improve past the standard-setter Thomas Hobson. Twilight Payment is the only runner not represented by Aidan O'Brien or Willie Mullins but he was a ready winner in listed company last time and shouldn't be discounted.
ROYAL NAVY WARSHIP - 16:35 Curragh
One in particular stands out as a well-bred, improving three-year-old in the shape of ROYAL NAVY WARSHIP. He made a good start to life in handicaps when landing a 14-runner Dundalk event eight days ago, and despite a strong middle distance pedigree (dam a half-sister to Found), he is fancied to cope with the drop in trip given he doesn't look short of speed. Blastofmagic and Little Clarinet can give Aidan O'Brien's colt most to think about.
