Timeform pick out three bets from Turffontein and Durbanville on Saturday.
Red Indy - 12:05 Turffontein
Red Indy is officially the highest rated in this field by some margin after finishing second in two of his last three races with a half-length second at Vaal over a fraction shorter than this in July, and a running on second (beaten two and a quarter lengths) when perhaps strangely dropped back to six furlongs last time out here at Turffontein. Back up to what looks a more realistic distance this lunchtime, Stuart Pettigrew's son of Marchfield looks primed to win here, and Calvin Habib should be able to steer Red Indy home in front.
Tigerlace - 12:40 Turffontein
Tigerlace will try to use her experience edge to her full advantage here after four starts, and following a career best two length third to Penny From Heaven here last time out over course and distance. She didn't have any obvious excuses that day but is getting better race on race, and this looks a slightly weaker contest on paper giving her every chance of her first victory. Trainer Ormond Ferraris is in decent enough form of late, leaving Tigerlace as the choice in this open looking maiden.
Libra - 14:40 Durbanville
Libra stands out in this field off joint bottom weight and Justin Snaith's daughter of Twice Over, Sir Henry Cecil's dual Champion Stakes winner, won her maiden at the third attempt last month at Kenilworth over seven furlongs, beating better fancied stablemate Township Melody a length. A rating of 79 seems fair enough for her handicap debut, and she has more room to improve than most and if she does, then Libra will take all the beating here.
