Peregrine Run - 14:55 Thurles
Peregrine Run is better known as a smart chaser, but he can boast comparable form over hurdles, too, and he's the one to beat on these terms. Prince of Scars understandably needed the run on January's return and is expected to step up on that, with Scarpeta completing the shortlist.
Be My Dream - 15:30 Thurles
Be My Dream remains a maiden, but she undoubtedly has the ability to win races from this mark, and shaped well when finishing runner-up at Limerick last time, arguably unlucky not to make more of a race of it with the winner. She was left with too much to do, the winner better positioned and getting first run, but Be My Dream is one to be interested in on the back of that performance, and the booking of Paul Townend is an added plus. Mizz Monroe and Harley B are a couple of others to consider.
Scalor - 17:50 Thurles
Scalor might well have bumped into one on debut and, with the benefit of a run now, he boasts excellent claims of going one better despite the presence of several interesting types sorts in opposition, notably Farceur du Large and The Gabby Cabby, both newcomers from powerful stables. The market should guide to that pairs chances.
