Timeform pick out their three best bets from Turffontein on Saturday...

"...she should prove a tough nut to crack granted normal improvement..."

Timeform on Pink

#11 Pink - Turffontein R2 (12:05 BST)

Pink made appeal on paper and shaped with encouragement when fourth on debut at the Vaal in July, and she seems sure to improve for that initial experience. This doesn't look the strongest race of its type, and she should prove a tough nut to crack granted normal improvement. Rock Sensation is more exposed but looks the next best on form, ahead of La Bahia.

#11 Heart of Africa - Turffontein R6 (14:25 BST)

Heart of Africa made the breakthrough in a maiden at the Vaal in July and he wasn't disgraced on his handicap debut on his next start. For all he was disappointing in a minor event last time, he still appeals as being well treated back in handicap company, and is chanced to resume winning ways. So Long Spring bounced back to form last time and could prove the biggest danger.

#8 Twelve Oaks - Turffontein R8 (15:35 BST)

Twelve Oaks hasn't won for a while, but she is shaping as though she's ready to strike, finishing a good fourth at this course last time. She hails from a yard that are in good form at present and is worth chancing in an open contest. Last Chirp arrives in top form and should continue to give a good account, while Carmalita is another to consider.
