Timeform pick out three bets from South Africa on Saturday

Timeform pick out bets from Kenilworth and Turffontein.

Kasimir - 12:00 Kenilworth

Kasimir is up against some seriously well-bred and expensive newcomers but there is no substitute for experience and the son of the recently deceased Captain Al brings some decent form to the table. Three second places in a row are headed by a length runner-up last time out in the listed Somerset 1200 here, a race that is working out really well, and if he can repeat that for the in-form Justin Snaith stable, then Kasimir will win this reverting to maiden company.

Samsara 13:20 (BST) Kenilworth

Samsara is in the capable hands of Greg Ennion and deserves to break her duck here after four places in four starts so far. Last time out she found them a bit too quick for her over five furlongs when beaten two and a half lengths at the line but stepped back up to six furlongs now, she will only need to repeat her half length second to Ahoy Me Matey over course and distance in May to see Samsara come home in front today.

Magic 14:15 (BST) Turffontein

Magic could well be the value call here as Leon Erasmus looks to get a fifth win out of the son of Mogok who will be having his thirty-fourth race at the age of four. Last time out he finished a rock solid third to Wrecking Ball and Effortless Reward in a Class A Pinnacle Stakes here Standside, just a length adrift at the line, and dropped in to this lower grade, Magic ought to prove far too good for them over his favourite trip.
