Timeform pick out their best back, lay and smart stat bets on Saturday...
"...he is clearly on the up..."
Timeform on Alrajaa
Alrajaa - 13:00 Lingfield
Alrajaa looks the one to beat here after completing his hat-trick in style at Kempton last month. He is clearly on the up after winning three of his four runs this season, including on the all-weather the last twice, and looks capable of defying a 7 lb rise in the weights. There could still be more to come.
Star Of Athena - 15:45 Lingfield
Star Of Athena won nicely at Wolverhampton last time but is 6 lb higher here and would need to produce another career-best effort to follow up. She seemed to relish the step up in trip at Wolverhampton so could find this drop back to 1½m a potentially inadequate test.
Mick Pastor - 12:40 Cheltenham
4 - Paul Nicholls's number of winners in past 10 runnings
Mick Pastor beat subsequent top-level winner Nirvana du Berlais by six lengths at Auteuil in May and is clearly an exciting prospect. He makes his first start for Paul Nicholls, who tends to target this contest with a smart juvenile - he has won four of the last ten runnings - and Mick Pastor could provide the trainer with another winner.
