Timeform pick out three bets from Punchestown on Saturday.
"The manner of that victory was impressive, doing especially well under the circumstances..."
The Barrowman is the sort to do even better with time over fences, and looks the one to be on back in a handicap after running respectably in a Grade 1 last time. He ran about as well as could be expected up in grade, but now 2 lb lower than when last contesting a handicap, and in a lesser race, he looks a good bet at the prices. Toushan is one of the more obvious players and could well chase the selection home, leaving Bilko and maybe Canaly to fight it out for the minor place money.
Allez Kal showed improved form to win a handicap hurdle at Limerick last month and she remains of plenty of interest despite a subsequent 11 lb rise. The manner of that victory was impressive, doing especially well under the circumstances in the rear, especially to win by 14 lengths, and she should be able to follow up despite the drop back in trip.
This doesn't look the strongest bumper, and it will be disappointing if Relegate isn't able to make a winning start under Rules for the powerful Willie Mullins stable. She is a sister to a dual bumper winner Funny Times and will likely have too much for the standard-setter Iamastartoo and point winner Danse Idol.
