Nick Shiambouros returns with two decent priced selections from the final day of turf racing at Doncaster...
"Despite his wide draw, I think he will run a big race and is attractively priced at [9.8] on the exchange"
Ivory filly ready
Eirene could run well at a decent price in this interesting Listed contest.
This talented filly finished an excellent second to Dancing Star in a Group 3 over this course in September. She delivered a strong challenge a furlong from home, and was only just denied near the finish. On her latest start at Ascot she was unsuited by the testing conditions when finishing fifth to Di Fede. She looks decent value at [9.6] on the exchange.
Donjuan Triumphant must be respected. He has cracked heads with some on the best sprinters in the country, and was not disgraced behind Sands Of Mali at Ascot last month. At present he is trading at [4.5] on the exchange.
Listen to the Buzz word
Buzz is my idea of the winner of this historic race.
This lightly raced gelding had done nothing but improve this season and comes in to this race in cracking form. Last time out at Newbury he ran on strongly inside the final furlong, and got up on the line to beat Mountain Angel to record his third victory on the year. Despite his wide draw, I think he will run a big race and is attractively priced at [9.8] on the exchange.
Now Children is another lightly raced individual. He won a fair handicap at Goodwood in great style last month and should have more to offer. He is worth a saver at around [15.0] on the exchange.
