Timeform pick out three bets from Newmarket and York on Saturday...
Sainted - 14:30 York
Conditions at York will likely be on the soft side, but that will pose no problem to the William Haggas-trained Sainted, who has won two of her three starts, and both of those wins came on ground Timeform described as soft and heavy. The form of her win at Newmarket when last seen a year ago is strong and, with a more than fair record fresh, she is expected to prove herself well treated and notch another win with conditions in her favour. Invermere and Florenza look the dangers on form.
Just Hiss - 15:35 York
As mentioned above, conditions will likely be on the testing side at York, which bodes well for Just Hiss, who is a much better performer with cut in the ground. He ran in a hot 1¼m handicap at this course last time and wasn't disgraced, beaten less than four lengths. The drop back to 1m won't be a problem, and he looks well handicapped on the pick of his form, so is taken to resume winning ways fitted with first-time cheekpieces. Home Cummins looks a big danger, while Be Kool, successful here a fortnight ago, and Truth Or Dare are also respected.
Gallifrey - 16:20 Newmarket
Gallifrey boasts some strong two-year-old form (runner-up to Oaks winner Enable on debut), and she shaped like a winner waiting to happen on handicap debut/return at Sandown three weeks ago. Short of room two furlongs out, she had to sit and wait while the winner got first run, though keeping on well to take second in the closing stages. That form could hardly have worked out better, with the winner, third and fourth all winning next time out. She will be suited by this step up in trip, and holds leading claims. Hat-trick seeking Melodic Motion is the obvious threat.
