Timeform take you through the card at Sandown on Friday...
"He looks to have been kept fresh for this meeting and his consistency last season shouldn't be overlooked."
Timeform on Sovereign Debt
13:50 - St James's Palace Stake entry KINGS SHIELD (2) built on the promise of his debut victory when scoring again at Kempton earlier this month. Clearly well thought of, he is fancied to continue his progress in the opener. The progressive Desert Wind and Vintager, who shaped as if this longer trip would suit all last season, may give him most to think about, though LAWN RANGER (5) could be a better placepot option. He's likely to go under the radar after four all-weather runs, but he was unsuited by the steady gallop behind Kings Shield last time and is capable of a big run here.
14:25 - St Leger runner-up CRYSTAL OCEAN (2) appeals as being a top-class colt in the making given how he improved throughout his 3-y-o season, and this looks a good starting point for a yard that has won this race a record eight times. The main threat could be Fabricate, who progressed from the handicap ranks last term and won't be lacking for fitness having made a winning return in a listed event at Kempton last month, while connections paid a fair sum for Morando in November and he is respected, having won first time out last term.
15:00 - SEVENNA STAR (6) looked yet another smart performer for his stable when bolting up in the mud at Windsor at the start of last week and is taken to improve past the Longchamp winner Chilean. ISPOLINI (4) and Hunting Horn are just two of a few others in this line-up who are open to progress on the back maiden/novice wins, and it's worth including the former in any placepot perms, especially with his yard in such good form.
Ispolini cost 1.2m guineas as a yearling and looked the type to go on improving when winning at Kempton back in November.
15:35 - ADDEYBB (1) took his form up another notch when readily landing the Lincoln on his return and can take the step up to Group company in his stride. Sussex hero Here Comes When was successful on his 2017 reappearance and should go well, particularly if the ground goes soft, however it might be worth including last year's winner SOVEREIGN DEBT (6) in selections. He looks to have been kept fresh for this meeting and his consistency last season shouldn't be overlooked.
16:05 - DIAMOND DOUGAL (8) looked a different proposition on his return at Bath last week, travelling well before forging clear for a decisive victory. This is a very different track but he holds strong follow-up claims if repeating that effort. Wolverhampton winner Last Page and Southwell scorer Haddaf are others to consider.
16:35 - HIGHGARDEN (2) created a good impression when making a winning debut at Newbury in October, and she's taken to strike again before having her sights raised (holds Oaks entries). Give And Take and Must Be Magic also look promising fillies and are feared, while Cristal Hope is bred to improve for this longer trip and rates a danger as a result.
17:05 - GLENCADAM MASTER looks a useful handicapper in the making, so he gets the nod for a yard going great guns at present. Communique remains one to be interested in, while Dubhe is bred in the purple and could also have more to offer over this sort of trip.
