Timeform take you through the card on Ladies Day at Royal Ascot 2017.

14:30 - SANTRY (14) was value for extra when making a winning racecourse debut at Doncaster in April and duly built on the promise of that effort when following up under a 6 lb penalty at York last time. That form could hardly have worked out better (second and fourth have both won since) and, with the prospect of more to come after just two starts, Santry is taken to see off the attentions of US raider McErin and can provide trainer Declan Carroll with a first winner at the Royal meeting.

15:05 - MIRAGE DANCER (9) shaped better than the bare result when fourth in the Dee Stakes at Chester last time, enduring a troubled passage as the field entered the final two furlongs and doing well in the circumstances to be beaten just three and a half lengths. He certainly showed enough to suggest he is up to winning a race of this nature and looks the one to beat in this second leg of the Placepot for Sir Michael Stoute, with Derby fifth Benbatl feared most of the remainder.

15:40 - NAUGHTY OR NICE (9) stepped up markedly on her debut form to follow up in a listed race at Navan last time and could still have more to offer after just two starts. She certainly looks worth a try in this higher grade and is fancied to be thereabouts in blinkers for the first time. She is joined in this third leg of the Placepot by GRACIOUS DIANA (6), who was possibly unsuited by conditions when failing to meet market expectations at Newbury last month, and deserves another chance to confirm the promise of her earlier victory at the same venue.

16:20 - HARBOUR LAW (8) shaped as if this longer trip would suit when winning the St Leger at Doncaster last year and, along with Torcedor, makes most appeal of those at big odds. The latter beat Order of St George in a listed race at Navan in April and that defeat, along with several others at short odds since his victory in this race 12 months ago, suggests the favourite is worth opposing here. The best alternative could well prove to be SHEIKHZAYEDROAD (5), who was a good third at big odds here last year and has seemingly progressed further as a stayer in five subsequent starts.

17:00 - AFAAK (22) showed much improved form when making a successful handicap debut at Doncaster three weeks ago, staying on strongly to lead close home and appearing to have more in hand than the official winning margin would suggest. He remains potentially very well treated from just 6 lb higher in the weights and makes plenty of appeal with the Placepot in mind here. LESHLAA (2) should appreciate the return to quick ground and could outrun big odds under the in-form Silvestre de Sousa, with the likely strong pace expected to suit over this shorter trip.

17:35 - MASTER SINGER (5) could hardly have been more impressive when getting off the mark at Newcastle last time and looks on a good mark for his handicap bow here. Indeed, that form gives him the edge over Good Omen on Timeform ratings and, with the prospect of more to come after just three starts, Master Singer looks the one to beat and has to enter calculations in this concluding leg of the Placepot. SOFIA'S ROCK (2) has a wide draw to contend with, but should also be involved if reproducing the form he showed when winning at Haydock last time.
