Timeform take you through the card at Redcar on Tuesday...
"The return to six furlongs should therefore suit, and she remains one to be interested in off 1 lb higher than last time out."
Timeform on Inspired Thought
14:20 - Although QUIET WORD (10) was ultimately disappointing on her debut at Nottingham 18 days ago, fading in the final furlong and finishing seventh, she shaped much better than the distance beaten suggests, showing good speed for a long way, and the fact that she was sent off as an odds on favourite suggests she's thought highly of at home. With that initial run now under her belt, it would be no surprise should she prove a different proposition second time out. Three Coins got off to the perfect start at Ripon earlier last time though a penalty makes life tougher, while Insania and Bella Brazil are two more to consider.
14:50 - LAND OF OZ (4) appeals as the typical handicap improver for the Sir Mark Prescott team now switched to this company. Admittedly, he's shown very little in three starts so far, but it's worth noting that the son of Australia cost 80,000 guineas as a yearling, and his three runs so far have served the purpose of qualifying her for a mark. As such, it would be no surprise should he prove a different proposition in this sphere - for a trainer with a strong record with handicap debutants. Anyonecanhaveitall is another who could leave previous efforts behind now handicapping, while Sea Art and Fantastic Ms Fox have shown they can be competitive off their marks in recent weeks.
15:20 - While RICH CUMMINS (3) has yet to win in seven starts so far, his first three runs of the year in handicap company were solid ones, finishing second on each occasion, and while his most recent outing at Wetherby was a poor one, he looks worth forgiving for that considering it was a third run in quick succession. Given four weeks or so to recover from that quick burst of runs, he's taken to bounce back here for his in-form yard. Robeam wasn't seen to best effect last time and is a player on his previous AW second, while Battle of Pembroke appeals as a possible improver now handicapping and needs monitoring in the betting.
15:50 - An open-looking mile handicap, in which it looks worth siding with ZODIAKOS (7). He's in fine form at the moment, backing up a win over this trip at Wetherby three weeks ago with a solid run to finish second at Chelmsford five days ago, and he should go close once again off the same mark as last time with Ben Sanderson taking off a valuable 5 lb - provided that he doesn't find this run coming too soon. Dubai Acclaim and Tukhoom are others to consider, as is Verdigris.
16:20 - It's difficult to get past HAMISH (6), who shaped very promisingly when finishing second at Thirsk on his debut last month, staying on well to take second in the final half a furlong, and he looks open to significant improvement yet, with the extra two furlongs this afternoon likely to suit. Sneaky Peak didn't confirm debut promise at the first time of asking, but still has potential. Gracie looks by far the pick of the newcomers.
16:50 - FAIR COP (6) built on her first two runs of the year to return to winning ways at Chepstow at the beginning of the month, going on before halfway and quickening clear a furlong out to win with plenty in hand. She's still lightly-raced for a five-year-old, and looks more than capable of defying a 5 lb rise to win again. Boundary Lane has made a solid start for Julie Camacho and is likely to figure again, while Dandy's Beano is also respected on the back of her Thirsk win.
17:20 - While INSPIRED THOUGHT (1) lost her unbeaten start to her career when second on her third start at Newcastle at the beginning of the month, but that was still a good run, and she did plenty enough to show she starts life in handicaps on a fair mark, only being headed inside the final furlong. The return to six furlongs should therefore suit, and she remains one to be interested in off 1 lb higher than last time out. Arletta Star and Seanjohnsilver both went very close at Carlisle last week and rate the biggest threats.
17:55 - SHEPHERD'S PURSE (3) isn't the easiest to predict, but his most recent effort to finish second at Wolverhampton three weeks ago was his best for a while, and he appeals as the sort to do well for Ruth Carr off what looks a particularly handy mark, having been claimed for £6000. Supaulette and Letmestopyouthere are others to consider in what looks an open finale.
