We look at a middle-distance handicap on Musselburgh's Tuesday card...
"St Ignatius won 7 times last year and emerged from spell in doldrums of late, placed 3 times prior to resuming winning ways in apprentice event at Brighton last week. Only 2 lb higher and should go close again."
Brigadoon won over 11f at Kempton for William Jarvis in 2012. Below that winning mark now and back to form when hitting frame over this trip on last 2 starts. Likely to be thereabouts again.
King of Paradise scored twice over 1m at Hamilton last summer and back to winning ways in 11f handicap there last month. Good third at Pontefract (1¼m) since and likely to be in the mix again.
Rawaafed got off the mark in 9f Hamilton claimer in May and creditable placed efforts in handicaps next 2 starts. Not so good in cheekpieces (off now) last 3 starts, though.
St Ignatius won 7 times last year and emerged from spell in doldrums of late, placed 3 times prior to resuming winning ways in apprentice event at Brighton last week. Only 2 lb higher and should go close again.
Talk of Saafend won twice here last summer, including at this trip. Ran well when placed 2 of 3 Flat starts this term, but does need to put a poor run over hurdles last time behind him.
Slide Show showed a bit for David Wachman in Ireland in 2011 and back on up since joining this yard, winning at Catterick earlier in month and good second back there last week. Should go well again.
Ruby Glass has looked pretty limited in her 7 starts to date.
1. St Ignatius
2. Slide Show
3. King of Paradise
Timeform view: Another race where a few arrive in good form. St Ignatius still has plenty of scope from a handicapping perspective given what he was capable of last year and is taken to follow up last week's Brighton win. Slide Show, King of Paradise and Brigadoon will ensure he doesn't have things all his own way, though.
