Mister Stickler enjoyed a good first season over fences in 2010/11, winning pair of 2m handicaps. Not been in anything like same form since, and pulled up on belated reappearance/yard debut in November.
Lucky Sunny enjoyed a fine start over fences when winning 2 handicaps in second half of 2012, and back to form for current yard of late, early exertions catching up with him at Ludlow 6 days ago. Leading claims now.
Divine Intavention was prolific in hunter chases, and took advantage of lenient handicapping to make a winning start for new yard at Market Rasen (22f). Not disgraced fourth in jumpers bumper latest, and claims again.
Cloverhill Lad has won 3 times since going chasing, the latest coming in a 4-runner Newcastle event in January. Lost no caste in defeat from 5 lb higher mark at Wetherby last time, and place claims again.
Fred Bojangles is a veteran who landed a Carlisle claiming hurdle last March and hasn't been disgraced over fences on 2 of last 3 starts. Only fifth over hurdles last time, though, and bounce back required now.
Bocamix ran well when second at Sedgefield (2½m) in November, and similar form when second over C&D penultimate start. Let down by jumping back here last time.
Turf Trivia jumps better nowadays and took advantage of the handicapper's mercy to land weak Sedgefield handicap (2m) 5 days ago. Had bit in hand then, so 7 lb rise not insurmountable.
Little Jimmy hit a purple patch around this time last year, completing a hat-trick at Wincanton. Looked held when falling at Leicester (2m) 12 days ago, but he remains lightly-raced. Cheekpieces on.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Lucky Sunny
2. Divine Intavention
3. Turf Trivia
Timeform View: Quite a tricky handicap chase, but Lucky Sunny has shaped better than his finishing position on each of his last 3 starts for Venetia Williams, and provided he can be reined in early could finally get his back in front now. Divine Intavention and last time out winner Turf Trivia are fancied for the minor money, in that order.
