Alben Star looked to be coming to the boil when running well 3 times in December and probably best not judged too harshly on a recent outing on fibresand at Southwell. Better expected back on polytrack.
Caspian Prince is an ex-French gelding who has thrived for his new yard since a hood and tongue tie have been combined, making all over 5f at Kempton and here this month. Should continue to give a good account.
Trinityelitedotcom is a gradually progressive performer who was scoring for the fourth in last 6 starts at Lingfield last weekend. Had a bit in hand come the line and 4 lb rise looks more than fair.
Elusivity was a smart sprinter at his best. Potentially well handicapped now but hard to derive too much promise from his recent first start for new yard.
Sacrosanctus' two wins in 2012 were gained at Epsom, making all in 6f handicap in August. Well held in just 3 starts last year, though, and bit to prove after another break.
Stonefield Flyer was a useful perfomer at 2 yrs, but seemingly not quite the same force these days, beaten 5 lengths into fourth in a Kempton minor event last week.
Burren View Lady is a likeable filly who scored 3 times over C&D last year and found some more improvement to resume winning ways at the start of this month. Up a further 4 lb but dangerous to rule out further progress.
Al's Memory's form has a patchy look, but did score over 7f here in November. Back to form when second here (7f again) on penultimate start but behind Trinityelitedotcom at Lingfield last weekend. NON RUNNER
Light From Mars got back on the scoreboard in a 7f claimer here in July (for this yard) and back to that sort of form when second over C&D earlier this month.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Trinityelitedotcom
2. Burren View Lady
3. Alben Star
Timeform View: A useful and competitive sprint. Trinityelitedotcom had a bit to spare at Lingfield last weekend and is taken to defy a 4 lb rise but there are plenty of dangers, headed by Burren View Lady and Alben Star.
