Chilworth Icon has won 3 of his 9 starts, including Woodcote Stakes at Epsom and Group 3 at Milan. Limitations exposed since and vulnerable under a penalty.
Canary Row finished runner-up to Dawn Approach on debut before scoring at Tipperary. Improved on return from break when fourth in listed race at Leopardstown despite shaping as if needing run. More required here.
Ebn Arab was the well-backed favourite when running out ready winner of York maiden on debut, and far from disgraced fast-tracked to pattern level when fourth in Acomb there next time. Remains open to improvement.
Glean was the stable second string but created good impression when landing Newbury maiden (7f) last month, and ran well when second of 3 at Salisbury next time. Again looks stable number 2 here, though.
Havana Gold was impressive debut at Newmarket before following up in minor event at Ascot. Would have made it 3 from 3 but for slipped saddle in listed race at Deauville but made amends at Haydock next time.
Ocean Applause was not disgraced when fifth in Superlative Stakes, and ran to similar level next 3 starts. Disappointed in headgear last time, though, and highly unlikely he'll be losing his maiden tag in this.
Unsinkable maintained unbeaten record when just fending off a next-time-out winner at Doncaster (6f) in July. Not raced since but open to further progress now given a stiffer test.
Well Acquainted got off mark at fourth time of asking at Epsom and was much improved when second in valuable sales race at York. Not disgraced on AW last time and return to this trip will suit.
1. Havana Gold
2. Well Acquainted
3. Ebn Arab
Timeform Verdict: Havana Gold is unfortunate not to remain unbeaten and can take the step up to pattern company in his stride. Well Acquainted, Ebn Arab and Unsinkable can battle it out for the minor placings.
