Turbo du Ranch Bumper winner who was placed twice in 2m novice hurdles here last season. Subsequent efforts in handicaps suggest he's not all that well treated and back hurdling now after 2 runs chasing.
Tidal Dance Short in the betting and promise on both starts in bumpers here. Has made an equally encouraging start over hurdles, finishing strongly and beaten just a neck at Folkestone. Leading claims.
Promised Wings Good third in weaker C&D handicap on return in October and back from poor run over fences when runner-up at Folkestone last time. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Award Winner Back to winning ways as mark has dropped, scoring 3 times under McCoy since October. Steps up in trip in tougher race now and 8 lb rise to overcome.
Tarvini Moody performer who scored twice under 10 lb claimer last season. Been given a big chance by the handicapper but beaten early last few starts and can only be watched at present.
Virginia Ash Bumper winner who has caught the eye in 3 runs over hurdles this season, not given hard time once held at Taunton (3m). Cheekpieces on for handicap debut and better forthcoming.
Hazy Bay Both wins have come in C&D handicaps. Lightly raced in recent times, but satisfactory return at Towcester last month and wouldn't dismiss.
Twin Bud Yet to win, but usually gives running, particularly here, and ran well behind a thriving one at Fontwell last time. Probably just a place contender again, though.
Royal Kicks Sketchy jumper who won over fences at Stratford in March. Been given big chance by the handicapper but well held over smaller obstacles last twice.
Ashmolian Dual hurdle winner in May 2010 before a 2-year hiatus. Fontwell third last time his best effort this season, but been off 2 months since, and got quite a bit on his plate here.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Tidal Dance
2. Virginia Ash
3. Hazy Bay
Timeform view: A warm handicap on paper. Tidal Dance was arguably unlucky not to open his account at Folkestone last month and is probably better than his opening mark of 115. Virginia Ash is another who could do better now handicapping and he goes in first-time cheekpieces, while dual C&D winner Hazy Bay is a contender after a fair return from 9 months off at Towcester.
