Hit The Top got off the mark in a 19f Catterick handicap hurdle in January and was just as good in defeat on next 2 starts. Fell on chase bow on Sunday but connections happy to turn him out quickly back over timber.
Getabuzz made quiet progress over hurdles before improving significantly in blinkers to score in back-to-back novice events, including over C&D. Held when falling last time but still interesting back in a handicap.
Cloudy Joker is a point winner who left his hurdles form behind sent chasing this winter, completing the hat-trick at Catterick prior to an excellent second at Ludlow. Big player if he can translate form to timber.
Oscar Tanner made a winning hurdling bow at Hexham in June and ran well when placed all starts since, particularly when second in C&D handicap on Boxing Day. Should give another good account.
Maybe I Wont is a multiple Flat winner who finally got off the mark over hurdles in a C&D novice on Boxing Day. No surprise he came up short in Graded company last time and this much more suitable.
Knightly Escapade is a fairly useful Flat performer who ran to a fair level when runner-up in a pair of novice hurdles in the autumn. Also landed a jumpers bumper last month and better than result at Wolverhampton since.
Magic Skyline is a Fair Flat maiden who didn't need to improve to gain second hurdles win at Catterick in January. Better form when runner-up at Musselburgh last time, but assessor has her about right. Headgear tried.
Riskier is a bold jumper who has good strike rate over fences in recent times, scoring again on return at Hexham (2m) in October. Clearly not as good over hurdles, but his much-reduced mark reflects that.
Marlborough House is a modest maiden on the Flat who has shown some aptitude for hurdling, but doen no favours by the handicapper (out of the weights, too).
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Knightly Escapade
2. Getabuzz
3. Cloudy Joker
Timeform View: Getabuzz was disappointing at Newcastle last month, but remains of interest from a handicapping perspective so needs considering, whilst Cloudy Joker will be right there if transferring his chase form back over timber, but Knightly Escapade gets the verdict as he's been in good order on polytrack of late and remains unexposed as a hurdler.
