14:00 - PROCEDURE (10) is only Sir Michael Stoute's third two-year-old runner of 2017 but it bodes well that his second juvenile won on debut earlier this month. Procedure is certainly bred to make a sharp two-year-old, being a half-sister to the smart Lockheed, and should be capable of going close first time up. The other Cheveley Park runner Clubbable represents Richard Fahey, who has had plenty of two-year-old success already this season, but a wide draw tempers enthusiasm somewhat.
14:30 - It's hard to see Love Candy or Our Cilla winning this so both COUNT SIMON (1), who should come on for his debut at Redcar last time (as many from his yard do), and the standard setting CAPE COAST (2) are both worth including for Placepot purposes.
15:00 - This looks less competitive than the hot three-year-old handicap that SOUND BAR (5) contested last time and though he'll have to have improved for the run, he does make plenty of appeal on his overall profile. KINGTHISTLE (4) was unlucky not to win at Beverley on his penultimate start and remains on a workable mark (only 1 lb higher), so is also worth including.
15:30 - Hard to get away from the classy ABINGDON (1), a two-time winner in this grade last season who is worth forgiving her slightly below-par run in the Park Hill Stakes. which came on the back of few hard races. She won first time up last season, and looks the sort to have even more to offer as a four-year-old.
16:00 - FREDERIC (1) bolted up here last time and must have a leading chance once again despite being 9 lb higher in the weights and on quicker ground here. AKAVIT (7) would be the leading danger in the field if he is able to get loose on the front-end under Silvestre de Sousa.
16:30 - Plenty to like about PATTIE (3) who has run well on her last couple of starts (in a maiden and in a listed race) and is now back in a handicap for only the second time. Aristocratic isn't 100% straightforward, and Pattie looks a solid option here.
17:00 - SUITCASE 'N' TAXI (2) hasn't gone on from his impressive win over C&D in May but it'd be no surprise to see him bounce back to form now returning to similar conditions. He had the re-opposing Halawain well beaten that day and could be hard to catch from stall 1.
