A quiet week of entries for Betfair Ambassador Olly Murphy but he has an interesting runner at Southwell on Thursday and one to keep an eye on over the next few weeks...
"She came out of Warwick well and has only gone up 2lb. She drops in great and I'm looking forward to running her. She deserves to go one better."
Olly Murphy on Undefined Beauty (15:45 Southwell)
A fairly quiet week this week with only a few runners. Undefined Beauty who was arguably unlucky not to win at Warwick on her first run for me goes to Southwell on Thursday. She came out of Warwick well and has only gone up 2lb. She drops in great and I'm looking forward to running her. She deserves to go one better.
On Friday Mizen Master may take his chance in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham. He's won twice through the summer but he's off a mark of 127 which I don't think is very lenient. A fast run race will suit and he would have a small each way chance.
It was great to get back amongst the winners last week where Cliffside Park won the first at Fakenham. He certainly had his supporters as he was very well backed and was given a very accomplished ride by my conditional Fergus Gregory. He is now two from four for me and I don't see any reason why he won't win again in his grade.
I ran a nice bumper horse called Fresh New Dawn at Sedgefield yesterday where he finished second. He is certainly a horse to keep on the right side of when he returns to the racetrack. A big galloping track will see him to better effect.
Dakota City was an unlucky loser at Windsor on Monday. He walked out of the gates and got no run a furlong down. Certainly keep an eye out for him when he runs next. Hopefully the handicapper won't take his hard luck literally.
For your future interest I've a lovely horse in the yard called General Custard who is an un-raced son of Shirocco. He goes very nicely and he'd be worth keeping on side when he runs in the next month to six weeks.
