I am going to take a chance with Deebee in this novice stakes.

This colt shaped well in a couple in a couple of races last year. He finished a creditable second to Dubai Icon over this course last October. He kept on when headed by the winner, and ran on well all the way to the line. I think he has room for further improvement, and will handle the expected soft going. At present he is trading at 7.26/1 on the exchange.

Roseman is the odds-on favourite at 1.738/11 on the exchange. This Kingman colt put in some good work in the closing stages when finishing third behind Raise You on debut. He has a decent pedigree, and is the big improver in the race. I can afford to let him win at this price.

Babbo's Boy should go close in this novice stakes.

Earlier this month at Ripon he finished a closing second to Sir Ron Priestley. He met a fair bit of interference two furlongs from home, losing valuable momentum in the process. He certainly would have finished a lot closer with a clear run. I think he is sitting on a big effort, and is reasonably priced at 3.55/2 on the exchange.

Questionnaire heads the market at 2.486/4 on the exchange. He beat Wanaasah by a narrow margin on debut at Wolverhampton last month and has plenty of scope for improvement. He has a very nice pedigree and looks sure to win more races.
