Timeform on Australis

1. Magic Circle (Richard Fahey/Tony Hamilton)
Smart stayer for Ian Williams (won Chester Cup and Sandown Group 3) in 2018. However, has found life tougher since and has first run/yard debut since well held in Gold Cup at Royal Ascot last June.

2. Rainbow Dreamer (Alan King/Hollie Doyle)
Stout stayer who is 5-6 on AW, easily scoring at Kempton (2m) in February. Creditable fourth of 11 to Nayef Road in Group 3 Sagaro Stakes over C&D 21 days ago. Highly respected for in-form yard.

3. King's Advice (Mark Johnston/P.J. McDonald)
Recorded a remarkable 8 wins from first 9 starts in 2019. By no means disgraced back from a break in Group 3 Sagaro Stakes over C&D and when runner-up in 14f Doncaster listed event. In the mix.

4. Collide (Hugo Palmer/Ben Curtis)
Landed 12f listed race at Cagnes and 14f handicap at Chelmsford City before creditable seventh of 16 in handicap (6/1) at Royal Ascot (14.2f) 10 days ago. Makes tapeta bow with his stamina to prove.

5. Glencadam Glory (Tim Easterby/David Allan)
Acquitted himself well in listed/Group company for John Gosden in 2018 and not disgraced on debut for new yard following 2 years off when fourth in 14f Doncaster listed event. Needs bit more though.

6. Carnwennan (Charlie Fellowes/Stevie Donohoe)
C&D winner who posted good second in handicap back over C&D when last seen out 121 days ago. Stout stayer who can't be ruled out for in-form yard.

7. Reshoun (Ian Williams/David Probert)
Ended 2019 with 2m handicap win at Kempton in November. Up 2 lb and this is tougher so another step forward is needed.

8. Sevenna Star (John Ryan/Darragh Keenan (3))
Winner of the Classic Trial at Sandown in 2018. Stiff tasks first 3 starts last year before signing off with poor effort in Southwell minor event. Makes tapeta debut and others preferred.

9. Mukha Magic (Gay Kelleway/Jason Watson)
Thrived at Southwell over the winter, winning 3 handicaps over 12f, and posted good third of 9 in Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot (21.6f, 40/1) 7 days ago. Respected.

10. Smart Champion (David Simcock/Callum Shepherd)
C&D winner who resumed with good fourth of 19 in handicap at Royal Ascot (20f, good) 11 days ago, nearest finish. Up 2 lb but can make his presence felt again.

11. Caravan of Hope (Hugo Palmer/Harry Bentley)
Signed off for 2019 with Doncaster win and returned (gelded) with good second to Australis in 14f Wolverhampton handicap. Up another 4 lb but still unexposed at 2m so he must enter calculations.

12. Just Hubert (William Muir/Martin Dwyer)
Three-time handicap winner as 3-y-o, latest at Musselburgh in September, but has gone off the boil and returned with last of 6 at Haydock. Makes tapeta debut with questions to answer now.

13. Cosmelli (Gay Kelleway/George Rooke (5))
Latest win at Chelmsford City in February and creditable third to Collide in handicap there (14f) 18 days ago. C&D winner who is in the mix.

14. Financial Conduct (Charlie Mann/Silvestre de Sousa)
Useful on AW for Andrew Oliver. Signs of encouragement over hurdles for new yard during 2019 but well held when brought down in handicap here (12.4f) 26 days ago. Cheekpieces on now with it to prove.

15. Hiroshima (John Ryan/Jimmy Quinn)
Landed Southwell maiden (12f) last May. Highly tried thereafter, third of 4 in minor event at Newbury (13.3f, heavy) 8 months ago. Makes tapeta debut and not easy to make a case for.

16. Australis (Roger Varian/David Egan)
Improving 4-y-o who duly returned with career best when comfortably winning 14f handicap at Wolverhampton 18 days ago by ½l from Caravan of Hope. More to come on his first attempt at 2m so big player.

17. Rajinsky (Tom Dascombe/Jane Elliott)
Signed off in 2019 with 14f Wolverhampton win and caught eye on return when tenderly-handled third of 10 in handicap (5/1) at Newbury (12f) 15 days ago. Interesting now trying 2m for the first time.

18. Technological (Milton Harris/Noel Garbutt (3))
Fairly useful stayer for George Margarson but not seen since creditable fourth in 2m handicap at Chelmsford City 13 months ago. Needs to hit the ground running on yard debut.

19. Anyonecanhaveitall (Mark Johnston/Joe Fanning)
Progressed well in 2019, winning 3 times, and good clear second on return in handicap at Pontefract (17.1f) 17 days ago. C&D winner too so this front-runner is in the picture for his in-form handler.

20. Denmead (Dan Skelton/Jamie Gormley)
Fairly useful winning 2m hurdler. First run back on Flat since August 2018 when creditable fourth of 9 in handicap (11/1) at Pontefract (17.1f) 17 days ago. Up 6 lb though so more is needed.
