At Cheltenham today in the 3,45 Blazing Bailey is a very interesting runner in this race. Last time out at Ascot he never appeared to be travelling well at any stage of the race when finishing fourth to Punchestowns. Today he meets that rival again but the selection has rock solid form in the book and a reproduction of his best will see him in the shake up. Currently he is trading at [8.8] on the exchange.

Over at Uttoxeter in the 1.15 Pelican Point is a mare on the upgrade after her good looking win last time out at Sedgefield. Today she faces a large field but in reality only a few can win this. At present she is trading at [3.9] on the exchange.

Today's Selections:

Cheltenham,3.45,Blazing Bailey,Win and Place
Uttoxeter,1.15,Pelican Point,Win

At Doncaster today in the 1.55 The Panama Kid is worth another chance after his unlucky fall at Sedgefield recently. As previously reported, he is still improving after a couple of victories and I am glad to see him line up today. Hopefully his fall will not have dented his confidence and he looks solid win and place material. Currently is trading at [8.0] on the exchange.

Today's Selection:

Doncaster, 1.55, The Panama Kid, Win and Place

At Fontwell today in the opening race at 1.20 the brave mare Jim Bobs Girl returns to the smaller obstacles after her spell over fences. She is now conditioned by Tim Vaughan and appears to be in fine fettle after a decent third in a good handicap chase on Boxing Day. She can handle this extreme distance and the testing ground and she should go close today. Currently she is trading at [2.52] on the exchange but I would recommend waiting nearer to post time for bigger.

Today's Selection:

Fontwell, 1.20, Jim Bobs Girl, Win

At Huntingdon today in the opening race at 1.10, Persian Storm is a very interesting runner in this good looking hurdle. This gelding by the great sire Monsun has some very smart European form notably when winning a Group 3 event in 2007 and running well in similar company in May in a hot race at St Cloud. It is quite clear that connections hold this horse in high regard and he should be able to do himself justice on his debut over hurdles. Currently he is trading at [4.5] on the exchange.

Today's Selection:

Huntingdon, 1.10, Persian Storm, Win

At Sedgefield today in the first race at 12.50, The Panama Kid is a horse that is still improving after a good spell. He has won a couple of fair races this term and lost nothing in defeat last time out when finishing second to Benfleet Boy.In addition his rider Oliver Williams gets on really well with this horse and claims a valuable 7lbs.Currently he is trading at 3.65 on the exchange.

Today's Selection:

Sedgefield, 12.50, The Panama Kid, Win

At Wolverhampton today in the 3.30 Royal Encore has a favourites chance of winning this maiden. Last time out she ran well in defeat to finish a creditable second to Pab Special over this course. She comes from a good family and if she wins today the idea may be to retire her to the paddocks with an all important victory to her name. Currently she is trading at [2.38] on the exchange.

Today's Selections:

Wolverhampton, 3.30, Royal Encore, Win
