At Bath today in the 2.10, Classic Vintage has the look of a progressive horse as he bids to make it two in a row after his win at Sandown at huge odds. He showed a willing attitude to get up close to home to beat Montaff and clearly there is more to come.This son of El Prado should relish the artificial surface today and the stable is beginning to hit form.

At Ascot today in the 2.50 Weald Park should go close in this decent affair run over seven furlongs.This colt by Cozzene ran very well in a large field at HQ last week and was not beaten very far by the winner Donativum. In addition he ran very well in the Superlative Stakes, finishing second to a fair type and based on that run alone he should be able to handle this bunch. At present he is trading at [2.84] on the exchange.

At Carlisle today in the 4.05, Astarador is an interesting runner in this novice chase run over the minimum trip. This classy hurdler makes his chasing debut today and has more than enough hurdle form in the book tom take this race if adapting to the larger obstacles.He is bound to have been well schooled and with the stable going well he should go close with a clear round.At present he is trading at 2.36 on the exchange.

At Newbury today in the 2.40 Palavicini should set a good standard in this race over a mile. This colt has had a couple of runs this season and impressed me on debut when he ran second to Delegator at HQ in August when keeping on very well in the latter stages of the race. Last time out at Newbury he was beaten at odds-on behind the impressive Taameer who could be smart. At present the selection is trading at [2.48] on the exchange.

At Nottingham today in the 4.40 Mubrook should go well in this race run over ten furlongs. Last time out this colt by Alhaarth showed improved form to finish second to the well-regarded Duncan, who ran in Listed company last week at HQ. Today, with that recent run behind him, he should move forward and I have backed him at the current price of [3.5] on the exchange.

Piquante is a horse that interests me at Leicester today in the 2.10 - a maiden ridden over seven furlongs. The selection was recently withdrawn from a race and makes his debut here. This son of Selkirk is well regarded and has a pedigree to match and could be ready at the first time of asking. At present he is trading at [7.8] on the exchange.

Baron Otto is a horse of interest in the 3.50 at Warwick today, a maiden run over seven furlongs. This Anabaa colt made its debut in a decent race at Newbury behind Control Zone. The form of that race is beginning to take shape with the fourth place horse winning easily at the end of September. I do not think this race will take a lot of winning and he should go very close today. At present the selection is trading at [2.74] on the exchange.
