Is today's selection on the path to victory in Liverpool today?

In the opening race at Aintree today at 1pm On Raglan Road has a favourite's chance in this decent event. Last time out he was most impressive when he hacked up at Hexham beating Peters Star. Today this expensive purchase has more to do but i think he is progressive and should go very close today. At present he is trading at [2.28] on the exchange.

At Newbury today in the opening race at 1.10 Monitor Closely should be very hard to beat in this maiden. Last time out at HQ he ran sixth to a fair sort and prior to that he ran third to the highly regarded Kite Wood at Doncaster. Today's race looks considerably easier and he should make the break through today. At present he is trading at [2.1] on the exchange.

Fulham Broadway is an interesting runner in the 7.20 maiden on the Polytrack at Wolverhampton tonight. This colt showed a good deal of promise on debut and was slightly hampered when finishing third to Brief Encounter in a maiden at Bath. He's a well-bred colt and will benefit from the experience and has a good chance in this event.

At Great Leighs tonight in the 9.20 Pension Policy is a filly that appears to be improving after her recent win on the Polytrack over this course. She is a well bred daughter of Danzig that I saw breeze last year at the sales in Newmarket and this good moving filly should be hard to beat tonight even under her penalty.

At Bath today in the 4pm Surrealism has a solid opportunity to get off the mark in this maiden.This beautifully bred filly by Pivotal ran well enough at Chester last time out on ground that was probably too quick for her and in addition I do not think she was suited by the tight course.Today she has underfoot conditions to suit and she should go close in this event. At present she is trading at [2.98] on the exchange.

At Exeter today in the 2.40 Shalone is a very interesting runner in this novice hurdle. I was very taken with this Tobougg-gelding when he bolted up in a bumper at Uttoxeter in early May. It was the manner of victory that was impressive rather than the opposition and he is sure to have been well schooled for this event. Currently, he is trading at [3.3] on the exchange.

At Pontefract today in the 2.40 Quick Single is a horse of interest in both markets in this wide open maiden. Last time out on the Polytrack at Lingfield this American bred colt ran fifth behind impressive winner Bab Al Salam.Prior to that run he showed promise in a decent maiden at HQ and should run well in this race that i do not think will take a great deal of winning
