Nick Shiambouros returns to HQ with two more selections from the quality card...
"His credentials look rock solid and I am anticipating a big run"
Baaqy to graduate
12:20 Newmarket - Baaqy
Baaqy should get off the mark in this interesting novice stakes.
This nicely bred filly finished a close second to Lady Lynetta over this course last month. She ran on well in the closing stages, but could not get to grips with the game winner. She is improving with racing and should get the better of her rivals. I will be backing her in the BSP market.
Waliyak could give the selection most to do. She finished second to Spring Of Love in a big field of maidens over this course on debut and should improve for the run. The Varian stable is in good form which is an added bonus. At present she is trading at 3.02/1 on the exchange.
Pablo to take charge
15:15 Newmarket - Pablo Escobarr
Pablo Escobarr should be more at home in this Listed contest.
This Galileo colt was last seen at Royal Ascot in June when finishing fifth to the smart Japan. He held every chance two furlongs from home, but was left behind when the pace lifted. He had previously chased home Derby winner Anthony Van Dyck in the Derby trial at Lingfield. His credentials look rock solid and I am anticipating a big run. At present he is trading at 9.28/1 on the exchange.
Lord North won the Cambridgeshire in great style and ran well in defeat when finishing second in the Balmoral at Ascot. Not surprisingly he is trading at odds-on, but has yet to win at this level.
