Nick Shiambouros returns to the tipping chair with two decent priced selections from Newmarket...
"She ran a blinder when finishing third to Daahyeh in the Albany at Royal Ascot in June"
13:05 Newmarket - Kuwait Direction
Kuwait Direction should make his presence felt in this interesting contest.
This well related colt was last seen when finishing down the field behind Arizona in the Coventry. He kept on fairly well in the closing stages, and was not beaten all that far. He was narrowly beaten by Full Verse on his previous start, which reads well in the context of this race. He sets a decent standard and is fairly priced at 5.14/1 on the exchange.
Raasel heads the market at 2.77/4 on the exchange. He was an impressive debut winner at Bath last month ,and clearly has more to offer. He is the main danger.
Aroha to surprise
13:40 Newmarket - Aroha
I think Aroha will run well at a big price in this Listed contest.
This Kodiak filly has cracked heads with some useful horses this season. She ran a blinder when finishing third to Daahyeh in the Albany at Royal Ascot in June. She kept on gamely in the closing stages, and would have finished closer with a higher draw. She followed up that effort with a second place in the Princess Margaret behind Under The Stars. Her latest effort at Kempton is best forgotten as she did not appear to handle the Polytrack surface. I think she is decent Each-Way value at 30.029/1 on the exchange.
Divine Spirit is the obvious danger at 5.24/1 on the exchange. This lightly raced filly has been chasing the likes of Raffle Prize this season, and has been placed in Group company. Black Type is thin on the ground at this late stage of the season, and a victory in this race would greatly enhance her paddock value.
