17:15 - LOUD AND CLEAR (7) overcame unfavourable circumstances to get off the mark at the fifth attempt over C&D three weeks ago, finding plenty to lead close home having been left poorly placed. He's lightly raced on the flat considering he's a seven-year-old, and looks open to more improvement in this sphere. He gets the vote to score off 2 lb higher. The improving three-year-old is feared most, ahead of Monjeni.
17:45 - DUNEFLOWER (3) made a solid start to her career when second at Newmarket less than a fortnight ago, beaten only a length and a half. She ran to a near-useful level that day, and with improvement assured, she is a confident selection to go one better this evening. Lucky Turn and Stagehand are a couple of newcomers to keep an eye on in the betting, though it will be a surprise if either is up to troubling the favourite.
18:15 - BURNING LAKE (5) is still finding his niche in terms of strategy, and he didn't get the run of the race at Kempton 7 weeks ago, the patient tactics tried not suiting the way the race was run. He looks to have leading claims in this however, and is fancied to get off the mark. Blazing Dreams and War Tigress are both solid alternatives.
18:45 - MELGATE MAJEURE (9) showed his first form when finishing third on nursery debut at Musselburgh in August, pulling clear of the rest on that day. He's on a basement mark, and raised just 1 lb, he looks capable of picking up a win. Palazzo and Fighting Spirit are the most solid alternatives.
19:15 - Whilst SPRING HOLLY (10) has shown very little form in her three starts to date, she begins life in nurseries at a lowly level, and her powerful connections mean that it's likely that she can take a step forward now handicapping in cheekpieces. Several are deserving of consideration, including One One Seven and The Defiant.
19:45 - IDEOLOGICAL (2) got off the mark in smooth fashion on debut at Kempton last month, doing well to score considering she received a hold-up ride in a falsely run race. That masked her full superiority that day, and with more to come, she gets the vote to follow up. Trolius is another who made a winning start last time and is respected, whilst the newcomer Dubai Philosopher requires a market check.
20:15 - SAFRANI (2) is in fine form at present, following up a win at Wolverhampton two starts ago with an excellent effort to finish third under a penalty just two days later. He was unlucky not to finish closer, too, being forced wide in the final furlong, and, arriving here on the same terms, he gets the vote to resume winning ways. Allux Boy and Clary head up the opposition.
20:45 - STEALTH FIGHTER (1) couldn't defy his penalty to follow up at Kempton last time, but he has made a positive start to his career nonetheless, drawing clear with another who's made another promising beginning to his career. He looks likely to progress further, and gets the vote to win again. Ring Dancer is getting the hang of things, finishing second last time out, and heads the dangers.
