"...the form is working out well with the runner-up winning their next start..."

17:35 - DUBAWI FIFTY (1) is building a really solid profile, and he is again hard to get away from here. He proved better than ever when winning a two-mile handicap at Wolverhampton last time, travelling fluently throughout and leaving the impression he was only doing what was required to see off the runner-up. A subsequent 4 lb rise could well underestimate him and he should prove hard to beat again.

18:05 - Bobby K is a short-priced favourite here but VELVET VISION (6) shaped with plenty of promise on her debut over a mile at this course last month and could be worth taking her on with. She was unfancied in the betting, but still showed plenty of ability to finish second under a considerate ride, and this longer trip could well unlock further improvement.

18:40 - GHOST SERGE (3) won his first two starts as a two-year-old and held his own in some useful company afterwards. He hasn't been seen to best effect in both of his starts since returning from a break in January, caught wide and too keen at Kempton and meeting trouble at Lingfield last time. The handicapper has potentially taken a chance with his opening mark, and it is interesting connections are dropping him back to six furlongs too. This more galloping track should also suit and he is no forlorn hope having been gelded and sporting first-time cheekpieces.

19:15 - MUJASSAM (2) hasn't put his best foot forward in handicaps the last twice, but he's the pick at the weights and was runner-up on his latest start in claiming company at Southwell in January. He is marginally preferred to Exchequer, who sports first-time cheekpieces following a rather disappointing debut for this yard at Lingfield 4 days ago. Mujassam's stablemate Major Crispies is best of the rest.

19:45 - Sir Mark Prescott hasn't had many runners so far this year, but his record with handicap debutants is very good and RUDE AWAKENING (4) is worth siding with tonight. He has shown only modest form at best so far in a trio of minor events, but Prescott is well known for this approach, and you can expect Rude Awakening to put in a much better display now stepping up to a mile. His opening mark is no gift, but he is bred to be better than a moderate handicapper, and he won't lack for assistance in the saddle.

20:15 - ELIXSOFT (5) has showed improved form to win her last two starts and given the manner of her latest success over this C&D she should be able to complete a hat-trick. Admittedly, that was only a three-runner race and this will likely take a career best to win, but the form is working out well with the runner-up winning their next start, and Elixsoft only has few miles on the clock. Ben Curtis has also been on board the last twice and he has a good record on favourites.

20:45 - ATHOLLBLAIR BOY (8) looked like following up his victory before just being caught last week and should make another bold bid back down to six furlongs. Tommy G is capable of making his presence felt off his current mark, while Buccaneers Vault ended last season in top form.
