16:05 - LOUD AND CLEAR (1) is building a solid profile at this course, successful on two of his last four starts, going agonisingly close over C&D last time, having every chance over a furlong out but finding a progressive sort too strong. That form looks solid and he looks sure to go well again. Glan Y Gors also arrives in excellent form and is feared, whilst Greatwood Hurdle winner Nietzsche is also of interest.
16:40 - ALMOST MIDNIGHT (1) made some appeal on paper and duly made a winning debut at Kempton last month, quickening away in good style when asked in the final furlong and keeping on well to win by two and three quarter lengths. The runner-up has boosted the form by winning since, and Almost Midnight is open to improvement now. The drop in trip isn't too much of a concern with the stiff finish here and he is expected to defy a penalty. Forest of Dean looks the main threat on form, while Autumn Pride is a likely type on paper for a yard in red-hot form.
17:10 - DOMMERSEN (1) gained due reward for his recent consistency when coming out on top at Chelmsford five weeks ago and a subsequent 3 lb rise may not prevent the follow up. Thawry may yet have more to offer for his present stable and is feared most, ahead of Rockwood who continues to ease in the weights.
17:45 - TREASURE ME (1) is going through a good spell at present, finishing runner-up on both of her starts over seven furlongs the last twice, and is worth another try over this longer trip now. This track should also suit her run style and she is preferred to Ventura Blues, who hasn't won for a while but lurks on an attractive mark.
18:15 - ATHOLLBLAIR BOY (3) posted a career-best effort when finishing runner-up from 2 lb out of the weights over six furlongs here 10 days ago and back on his correct mark now,
he holds strong claims back up in trip. Portledge has built up a good C&D record and is feared most, with Mr Minerals completing the shortlist.
18:45 - FENDALE (1) was value for extra when making a successful return from a break over C&D last month, and given he retains handicap scope and is unexposed on this surface, his follow-up claims appear to be bright. Primo's Comet shaped well in that race and did likewise at Wolverhampton so his turn is probably near to hand, with Orient Class one to consider at longer odds.
19:15 - By no means a strong maiden on paper, so expensive-yearling GLOBAL DESTINATION (3) could be the way to go having offered a bit to work on when fifth starting out at Yarmouth in August. Wise Words and Marvel are perhaps the pick of the newcomers.
