17:50 - PURSUING STEED (15) has done nothing but improved since switched to Hughie Morrison's yard this season and he looked one to keep on the right side when winning at Doncaster last time. He was off the bridle before most, but he impressed by how strong he was in the final two furlongs and a subsequent 6 lb rise may not be enough to stop him.

18:20 - The fact that ONE FOR JUNE (5) attracted support on her debut at Nottingham probably means than better was expected, and this well-bred filly is fancied to put that experience to good use tonight. She seems sure to improve for that run and the booking of James Doyle bodes well. Another to keep on side is LEXINGTON GRACE (1), who continued her race-by-race progression to get off the mark last time. This good-value claimer offsets the penalty she has to carry and another bold bid is expected.

18:50 - TIME CHANGE (16) is bred to be useful and she showed plenty of ability when runner-up to a heavily-backed rival on debut at Doncaster this month. The form of that race isn't working out badly and she seems sure to come on for that experience. There are a couple of well-bred newcomers in opposition, most notably the John Gosden-trained The Mums, who will merit the utmost respect if strong in the market, whilst Angel of The South wasn't beaten that far at Windsor last time.

19:25 - SPORTING TIMES (9) was fitter for her comeback run and duly showed improved form to open his account at Lingfield this month and, being a half-brother to Knightly Escapade out of a half-sister to Times Up, he seems sure to improve further now having his stamina stretched out. An opening mark of 83 looks very fair and it will be disappointing if he doesn't go close. BUZZ (12) is expected to come on for last month's reappearance at Windsor, where he didn't get the chance to show what he's capable of, and is another who is potentially well handicapped.

20:00 - Henry Candy has his team in fine order at present and CANFORD TOR (5) rates the type to leave the bare form of his maiden runs behind now handicapping. He wasn't at all given a hard time at Salisbury last time, staying on from the back under a hands-and-heels ride, and he has seemingly been brought along with handicaps in mind. The step up to 1m will suit on pedigree and he is definitely one to watch. SAKURAJMA (9) has had excuses both starts since making a promising reappearance at Windsor in April and he has dropped to an appealing mark, so has to be off a bit of interest also in an open handicap.

20:30 - This looks wide open with plenty in with a chance, including SHOWMETHEWAYAVRILO (6), who confirmed his return to form when winning at Chepstow this month, taking advantage of a reduced mark. He remains fairly treated raised 3 lb for that win and he is expected to go well under Charlie Bennett, who is good value for his 3 lb claim. BORN TO FINISH (1) shaped well on his first start since leaving Jeremy Gask when fourth at Salisbury last time and he also has to enter the mix despite having never won on turf. He's well treated on the pick of his form and this is an easier grade of handicap than he's used to contesting.

21:00 - MONOLOGUE (11) has few miles on the clock and showed improvement for Simon Hodgson through the spring, so it's worth taking a chance that he can hit the ground running for his new stable to get the better of an exposed bunch in the main. McDelta has been shaping well in his short time with Geoffrey Deacon and also warrants consideration along with the well-treated Maestro Mac.
