Timeform take you through the card at Newbury on Friday.
"Still lightly raced, he should have more to offer still, and is fancied to go close..."
14:00 - This doesn't look the strongest novice hurdle for the track and EUXTON LANE (2) should be able to record his second win over hurdles. He showed improved form to open his account over hurdles last time, trouncing his rivals in soft ground at Fontwell earlier this month in the style of a potentially smart type. Euxton Lane will face similar conditions today and should be up to defying a penalty over this longer trip, which seems sure to suit.
14:30 - KINCORA FORT (7) has already made up into a better chaser than hurdler, improving further to make it two wins from three starts in this sphere when winning at Huntingdon last time. He has been hit with an 8 lb rise in the weights following that win, but the manner of that success suggests he could still be ahead of his mark, and is worth standing by in pursuit of a hat-trick.
15:05 - Nicky Henderson holds a strong hand here and it would be no surprise were Darius des Bois to improve now handicapping up in trip, but CHRISTMAS IN APRIL (5) is also unexposed as a stayer and could be the more solid option. He left the impression he would have gone close to winning but for a mistake two out at Ascot last time, nearest the finish. Still lightly raced, he should have more to offer still, and is fancied to go close.
15:40 - An open-looking event, with BOBO MAC (4) taken to come out on top. He was in the process of running well before departing on his second start over fences at Exeter, and should go well again if none the worse. Ice Cool Champs was a progressive hurdler so may yet do better over fences, while Le Boizelo has shaped as if this longer trip will suit.
16:10 - Based on EARLY DU LEMO's (7) winning form in France an opening mark of 120 looks quite lenient and Gary Moore's five-year-old is expected to put up a much better showing here. Mobait sets the standard and has Bryony Frost taking off a valuable 3 lb, but Early du Lemo is open to more improvement than that rival and is fancied to make a winning start in handicaps.
16:45 - A leap of faith is required in supporting VIVALDI COLLONGES (2) given he has failed to complete in his last four starts, but he was a once-smart novice chaser, and could easily prove a class above these rivals if the fitting of first-time cheekpieces sparks him back into life. Paul Nicholls has a fantastic record with horses running in first-time headgear and this doesn't look the strongest race of its type.
