Timeform on Roulston Scar
NAP: Roulston Scar looks banker material
Roulston Scar is a smart sprinter who made it two wins from three starts this season with a decisive victory at Chelmsford last time. He was sent off at short odds on that occasion and the result was never really in any doubt, quickening clear in the final furlong to win by nearly three lengths. That form sets the standard on these terms and he looks sure to take plenty of beating once again.
NEXT BEST: Quanah can resume winning ways
Quanah is on a losing run stretching back to June 2020, but he took a step back in the right direction when sporting first-time cheekpieces at Newcastle last time. Beaten less than two lengths into fourth on that occasion, he is a previous winner over this course and distance and could be worth siding with from a mark now 8 lb lower than when recording his last success.
EACH-WAY: Tommy G could be overpriced
Tommy G has already recorded four wins this year, including at this course in July. He has been a bit inconsistent since, but there were valid excuses for his below-par effort at Ayr last time (raced alone against the stands-side rail). He is on a fair mark judged on the balance of his form and another bold bid is expected with Amie Waugh claiming 5 lb.
